Weight Gain Triumphs and Troubles

As you all know I am super determined to hit the goal weight of 125 by the end of this year. While I am definitely gaining the weight (yay!) I'm also outgrowing almost all of my pants (boo). I am down to three or four pair of pants that I can actually fit with no problem out of twenty plus that I cant fit at all. Luckily spring is here and summer is not to far behind so leggings, skirts and shorts will be in full effect. Progress pics will be up soon as of April 1st or March 31st which ever time permits.

Water Challenge!!!

Since I have been working out more and researching more I learned a lot about the benefits of water. To be honest along with that I learned the side effects of not consuming enough water as well (and its not a pretty one).

The benefits of water are:

*controls calories
*aids in digestion
*aids in absorption
*circulation
*transportation of nutrients
*energizes muscles
*keeps skin clear/youthful
*helps your kidneys
*maintain normal bowel function
*detoxifies
*protects joints
*aids metabolism
*protects organs
*fights diseases

Because of my lack of consumption I decided to do a water consumption challenge starting today until the end if April. The least amount of water an individual should consume is 8 glasses a day so that is the amount that I am consuming daily. F.Y.I I absolutely hate water (lol) so this challenge is really going to be a hard challenge I rather consume 8 cups of milk than water but that is the point of the challenge so I am going to do it.

Progess Pics

Almost two months in and im starting to see progress in my glutes, and entire legs. I havent really focused on my upper area but now that I have gym that I go to regulary I get to experiment with the arms and abs machine. Quite honestly im not a huge fan of the arm machines but I want my body to be proportioned so I gotta suck it up. The pictures on the left are the ones I took the first week in February the second ones I took last week in March and its not bad in my opinion my calorie intake is now at 2300 per day which is quite interesting and at times challenging to complete but it gets done.

How to do Proper Squats with Weights

Doing squats the wrong can cause damage to your knee caps and strains throughout your body. When I do squats at the gym and even at home I look in the mirror to make sure my form is proper and all my angles are aligned. I posted below the proper way to do squats.

Weight Update!!!

I know I havent been blogging as much :-/ you can contribute that to my determination of gaining weight on my own. I have been googling, reading, and asking personal trainers a lot and I do mean a lot of questions. Whats interesting is that I found most of my answers to questions via instagram. Instagram pics get right to the point and thw captions under the persons pic breaks down what they are doing and eating daily. My stats are as follows;

January 31st:
Weight: 110pds
Waist: 28
Hips: 33
Thigh: 18

As of March:
Weight: 117pds
Waist: 27 1/2
Hips: 35
Thigh: 19

I gained seven pounds since I started this gain weight journey and although I cannot physically see a difference, I know that I am getting closer to my goal. So once I hit 125 pds we will see if my goal changes.

Pictured below is one pic that I took mid February the week of the 11th, and the other is my weight today before I ate lunch.
