For Your Lazy Days...

Yes everyone has them, I have them you have them, EVERYONE has them... what am I talking about??? Lazy hair days. And with summer being around the corner along with working out I will be doing a whole lot of lazy styling this summer. Thankfully Curlsbf posted a lovely tutorial on a few lazy hairstyles that you and I can both use. Now the point is to make it look like you put a smidge a bit of effort in styling your hair when essentially you put about zero effort into lol!!! If you haven't subscribed to these ladies YouTube channel you definitely should, especially my fine textured naturals you could benefit from them greatly!

Enjoy!!!

Random Protective Style

This morning I was definitely about to break my protective style challenge and wear my hair out and free. But I stuck to my guns and pinned my ends up. I didnt see any tutorials on this style I just literally started pinning my ends up so that they weren't out and loose.

How I achieved this look

1. Place a headband to push your hair back.
2. Tuck and roll the back up and pin it so it doesn't come a loose.
3. Take right side ends and pin them back
4. Take left side ends and pin loose ends back.

Style Completed

So I finally did this style that I posted not to long ago before this Christmas break, and I had to adjust it a bit due to the fact that my hair although it appears huge is really thin. Anyhoo, its not bad in my opinion for a first attempt, the more I do it the better I will get.

Style Attempts for the Winter Break

As you all are now fully aware I am on the prowl to figure out how to style this new length of mine. One style I wasnt able to do due to my length before was the carefree updos. You know the updos that takes like 5 minutes to do thats messy but looks so effortless,  yeah that one, I searched youtube to find someone who did it and FINALLY ran across MeechyMonroe video. The way she does it is super simple and looks effortless and as soon as I get home I will be attempting it (stuck in the hospital with the little one). In this video she does two other styles before the messy updo so yes it is last but once again when I get home I will attempt it and blog it as usual.

Natural hair + Interview = No Job???

There has always been a taboo of people perceiving natural hair as being unkempt, and unruly (which is far from the truth). When it comes to interviews I'm pretty sure everyone changes their appearance to ensure greater chances of gaining that job. These changes could include wearing a skirt, slacks, button up, wearing makeup, or even changing your hair, basically anything that you wouldn't do on a regular basis. This then poses the question, do you alter the state of your hair to attain a job? Or do you wear your hair in a way society deems as appropriate to the interview? Below are pictures of hairstyles so that you won't have to compromise your stance on natural hair.

Much love,

Bri
