Mixing Moisturizer with Foundation

Like most females I like all day no "cakey" coverage when it comes to makeup in general. Do I wear makeup daily? To me, not really. However I will not leave out the house with my eyebrows in shape. So if I'm in a hurry the everyday three things I put on my face is lipstick, filling in my eyebrows, and mascara.

There are days though when I feel like my skin tone is blotchy (all in my head probably lol) and I'll put on some foundation. The problem for me when it comes to foundation is that my face for some reason get dry through out the day no matter how well I prep my skin. While browsing through YouTube,  I saw a video where the individual mixed the moisturizer with the foundation and it gave the individual skin a nice dewy glow. Now you know I had to try it of course and so far this past two week it has been working like a charm.

I use Ambi daily moisturizer and Covergirl Queen Collection foundation in Brulee. One tip I did pick up to minimize pores is swirl the foundation on is circles that way you are covering every area of your face. If you go on YouTube and put in GossMakeupArtist you will see exactly what I am talking about.

Maybelline Color Whisper

Recently bought Maybelline Color Whisper in Berry Ready and I honestly love it! Its an everyday color that I have been searching for that compliments my skin tone. I believe that this color compliments most skins as well. Anyhoo, it is definitely rich in color especially if you apply it mutiple times (buildable color= the more you apply the darker it becomes). Maybelline has a plethora or colors to choose from so if Berry Ready doesnt work another color definitely will. Its inexpensive and can be found in many stores.

Little Black Book of Makeup???

While browsing in Target I ran across this lovely display of nail polishes, makeup and so forth, upon taking a closer look I realized that it was ELF. So of course I looked even harder knowing that their prices are never over board to begin with, it was only nail color that I wanted however ELF created this eyeshadow palette that holds a total of 48 eye colors with a mirror on the inside for $6 bucks *_* not bad in my book and worth giving a try. So I picked it up since I needed something makeup wise for my purse anyways since it conveniently fits in my purse why not. Below are pictures of what it looks like. AND ELF has two different types of these eyeshadow books one warm and one cool, I picked up the cool so I have a ton of warm cools to begin with.

How to Apply Loose Eyeshadow...

When applying loose eyeshadow (bare minerals eyeshadow to name) the type of brush you use can make a difference of how the eyeshadow appears on the eyelid. Regardless of what brush you use ALWAYS use a eyelid primer, a primer minimalizes creases, helps the longevity, and and you get the true color of the eyeshadow. Along with the primer use a firmer brush. A firmer brush compacts the loose eyeshadow and ensures smooth application on the eyelid.

Salvage that Expensive Lipstick!!!

There has been plenty of times where my lipstick has reached the point where I can no longer twist it to use it and clearly there is enough left to be used in the tube. And for $20 I am definitely going to try to get ALL the use of that lipstick as possible!!! So here is what you can do.

1. Buy a lip container from either Wal-Mart, Target and I believe even Ulta. These little containers are like $1 to $5 depending on how many are in a package.

2. Get a butter knife from the kitchen and scrap the the lipstick that is left in the lipstick tube.

3. You can add your favorite moisturizing lip balm to it as well to prolong that lipstick as well if you like.

That's it, its pretty simple and super expensive, and you also get a longer wear out of your favorite lipstick as well.

Full Eyebrow Tips

Since we are heading back into fall full eyebrows are back in full effect. Personally I love full eyebrows anytime of the year it is very flattering in my opinion. But for those who do not have full eyebrows here is how you can get them.
1. Brush your eyebrows to see where you need to possibly fill in

2. You can either use a brow powder or a brow pencil to fill in the sparse areas.
     - It is preferred to use the powder because it is not as harsh and you can gradually fill in.

-If you use a pencil make sure you use a pencil color that is a smidge lighter than your eyebrow color that way it doesn't appear as harsh.

3. Blend, the key to flawless eyebrows is to blend.

Everyone Wants Soft Lips....

Or at least I do (lol). There is nothing worse than finally being on date with someone you like and your sitting there worrying about your lips being soft (the horror O.o). So to prevent this from happening I have you few tips for soft lips.

1. Exfoliate your lips!!!
-you can use a toothbrush to do this or an actual scrubber
-I exfoliate at least 4 times a week

2. Chapstick is your bestfriend
-ANY type of chapstick will do, I prefer BurtsBees it never fails
-other types are (carmax, Vaseline, etc)

3. Moisturize your lips at night
-moisturizing at night gives time for the chapstick or whatever your
       using to settle in completely

4. Drink Water!!!!
-hydrating from within is key to keeping your skin soft in general, so
       have a glass

With these tips you are ensured to have smooth lips cracked free lips (lol) and your lipstick will definitely glide on and not have cracks in it.

Beauty Buys

Took a lovely trip to Target to calm my nerves (shopping therapy) and stumbled upon a couple of products that I wanted to try out. Rimmel Soft Kohl Pure White eyeliner, Milani Lip Flash Hot Flash, L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow Liquid Diamond and Milani Eyeshadow Lily White. Out of the 4 items purchased I absolutely love l'oreal liquid diamond it lasts all day (seriously all day). I also love the pigmentation of Milani lip flash and the fact that is a pencil is even better because it can be used as an eyeshadow or even a blush.

Lust Item of the Week...

While surfing my fave YouTube channels (makeupdoll, JulieGBeauty, fabulasityisme to name a few) I noticed that this particular make up item continually kept popping up in almost every video I watched. And..... its BH Cosmetics!!! So I went to their website www.bhcosmetics.com to see what they had to offer and how much it was going to cost, and surprisingly?!?!...it was not that expensive and they have a TON of colors in one palette 120 to be exact. The colors are amazing and appear to be really pigmented, which is a good thing for my skin tone. And the prices range anywhere from like $11.00 bucks to like $20.00 bucks (that's the prices that I remember for the palettes I wanted lol). Anyhoo I'm trying to narrow down on which palette I want to try first I'm torn between the 4th, 5th, party girl, and the 88 cool color shimmer palette. I will post pics down below of those and if you have a suggestion please feel free to help out and leave comments on what you prefer or think about BH cosmetics because I am seriously torn.
