Love That Look!!!

Finally watched Rick Ross Touch 'N You video and it was actually pretty decent. But what really caught my eye was Usher's outfits throughout the whole video, specifically the second look when he had on this black leather jacket. Fellas...take notes because this looks good!!! And super effortless, but it definitely catches the eye. I also loved the girl look as well and did you naturalistas peep the high bun she rocked!!! Flippin gorgeous, and those earrings...I need those asap!!! I posted the video below so have a look and judge for yourself. For you Rick Ross fans he will be here in Chicago doing a live concert August 11, 2012 at Club Adrianna's (God Forgives I Don't Tour) if you would like to attend you can buy tickets at any DTLR locations in the Chicagoland area. Early arrival is suggested!!!

Much love,
Bri

Curlformers...again

So I use curlformers often, it makes my hair semi straight and gives me the curls that I want. And since I do not make YouTube videos I figured I could share this video with you all to show you how to use these lovely curlers properly. Her YouTube channel is LaurenMechelle and In this video I believe she blow dries her roots I however do not, I let it everything air dry. This process does take a minute and you want to make sure that your hair is completely dry before you take the curlformers out or it will not come out correctly.

Much love,
Bri

All Black Everything...with a little silver

Felt like going super dark this past week... so I did. I painted my nails black and silver and it wasn't to bad, not my norm but its fun to step outside the box every now and then.

Up, Up, and Away!!!

For this past weekend of adventures I did not feel like dealing with my hair AT ALL (it happens lol). So I put my hair in a bun, all that was needed was 4  bobby pins and a scrunchy. I also used water, Shea Moisture: Curl and Style Milk which smells so good!!! It took less than 5 minutes to create on top of that!!! Definitely a go to hairstyle of mine.

Hair Wash Regimen? For Me? Naw...

The most common question that is asked from a lot of naturalistas is "what's your hair wash regimen?" And to be honest, I don't have one (shocker O.O). I know your probably thinking, "what do you mean you don't have a regimen, everyone has a regimen?!?!" Welp, I do not, I discovered quickly that my hair does not like routines whatsoever. My hair literally adapts to the products and the regimen within a month (bummer :-/). So here is what I do, since I know my hair pretty well I play it by ear. I wash my hair at least once a week due to the fact that my hair becomes limp within a week. Also my scalp has to stay clean or the rest of my hair will not cooperate. There are two product lines that I have been switching out for the past year and that is Giovanni, and Shea Moisture these products get the job done for me. I don't use heavy stylers because it weighs my hair down, fights frizz, and it kills the movement in my hair, besides I like frizz so I refrain from using stylers when I do braidouts or twistouts. However I do use Shea moisture reconstructive elixir to add sheen and moisture to my hair throughout the week and curl and style milk. I also use Shea moisture reconstorative conditioner as a deep conditioner. But yep that's it nothing major, nothing streneous just me knowing what works for my hair. In my case the less product the better.

Save the Style

I did a flat twistout and literally only one side of my hair came out correctly (-_-). Unfortunately I didn't have any time to retwist and wait for it to dry again so I had to improvise. I did a semi flat twist clipping my hair in the back leaving the other side of my hair free...not to bad (lol). What's your back up hairstyle when all else fails?

Beauty Buys

Took a lovely trip to Target to calm my nerves (shopping therapy) and stumbled upon a couple of products that I wanted to try out. Rimmel Soft Kohl Pure White eyeliner, Milani Lip Flash Hot Flash, L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow Liquid Diamond and Milani Eyeshadow Lily White. Out of the 4 items purchased I absolutely love l'oreal liquid diamond it lasts all day (seriously all day). I also love the pigmentation of Milani lip flash and the fact that is a pencil is even better because it can be used as an eyeshadow or even a blush.

Much love,

Lust Item of the Week...

While surfing my fave YouTube channels (makeupdoll, JulieGBeauty, fabulasityisme to name a few) I noticed that this particular make up item continually kept popping up in almost every video I watched. And..... its BH Cosmetics!!! So I went to their website www.bhcosmetics.com to see what they had to offer and how much it was going to cost, and surprisingly?!?!...it was not that expensive and they have a TON of colors in one palette 120 to be exact. The colors are amazing and appear to be really pigmented, which is a good thing for my skin tone. And the prices range anywhere from like $11.00 bucks to like $20.00 bucks (that's the prices that I remember for the palettes I wanted lol). Anyhoo I'm trying to narrow down on which palette I want to try first I'm torn between the 4th, 5th, party girl, and the 88 cool color shimmer palette. I will post pics down below of those and if you have a suggestion please feel free to help out and leave comments on what you prefer or think about BH cosmetics because I am seriously torn.

Much love,
Bri

It's Been A While...

So... Yeah I haven't posted in a while (a year to be exact, ish got real, real fast) but I'm back!!! And I will be on it like butter on bread I promise. Quick update on my hair, I stayed flat iron free for about a good six months then I got bored and flat ironed my hair (boo) I know and my hair hated it, and I hated my hair (not good). So as a result I cut it into a long bob (didn't want to lose all of my length) which was actually really flipping cute. However that also meant that I had to keep it straight in order for it to look right (bad idea). Now I'm back to growing my hair out without heat. My hair is already thin and it only looks full when its curly so that's how I'll keep it. Heat free nice, and full and curly.

Oh and I'll be blogging more often (I swear lol)
